Branding in the widget

Every widget shows a compact line at the bottom:

Your key and password never leave your device · Protected by DSTUcrypt

This is not advertising for its own sake — it is a trust signal for your user at the most sensitive moment: when they are about to enter the password to their qualified electronic signature (QES) key.

Why it helps you

A user who is asked to load a key and enter a password subconsciously wonders: "where is this going?". Without an answer, some people simply close the window.

The badge answers that question right away:

• it shows that the cryptography is performed by a specialized service, not a homegrown script on the site;
• it states the key point directly: the key and password never leave the device (on hover — an expanded explanation that the data is sent neither to your site nor to us);
• it links to dstucrypt.com.ua, where the user can check exactly who they are trusting.

Put simply: you borrow the trust in our service for your own interface. It is the same as a payment-system badge on a checkout page.

How to remove it (white-label)

Removing the badge is part of the paid "Custom design" option. During the trial period it works (so you can evaluate it), and after that it only takes effect when custom_design is paid for the domain — the service exposes this state in /api/license. Without the entitlement, branding:false is ignored and the badge stays. So do not build your interface as if the badge will never be there.

If you want to go beyond removing the badge — show your own brand and match the widget's look to your site — that is the same option: Custom design.

What the badge does not do

• it does not collect any data about your users;
• it does not add any network requests (it is an ordinary link);
• it does not affect the widget's size or speed;
• it does not change the modal's height — the modal adapts to its content anyway.
